Famille Rose Bowl with Peonies

Period

Qing dynasty, 18th century

Origin

Jingdezhen, Jiangxi

Dimensions

Diameter 14.8 cm

A famille rose bowl, the exterior enamelled with peonies and birds in pink, green and gilt on a white ground. The interior is left plain. Yongzheng and Qianlong taste at its most garden-like — a piece for the table rather than the altar.
